Friday, December 25th, 2009

I just want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! This year time sure seemed to fly by, Christmas just kind of crept up on me! Now, its time to start thinking of those new years resolutions! I must say, I’m not one to normally even think about that, but this year I definitely have a few in mind. That being said, enjoy your holidays everyone!

CN Tower Climb | Sudbury Wedding Photographer

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

Since I really started trying to get fit in May, I have been setting small goals for myself. I’ve slowly been achieving those goals, and now have decided to go for something bigger. About a month ago I said to myself, “I wonder how many stairs are in the CN Tower?”. So, I came home, hopped online, and found out there are 142 flights of stairs. That’s 1776 steps to climb. I’ve been working really hard at the gym, and I’ve been on that stairmaster everyday. So far I’m at 1620 steps in 20 minutes. I always do 20 minutes, since my ultimate goal is to do the climb in under 20 minutes.

I just found out there is a climb on April 17, 2010. I have registered to do the climb, and can’t wait! And not only do I get to climb, I can use my goal to help out a good cause! I am doing the climb for the World Wildlife Fund. I will be donating $10 from every session booked from now until April 17, and would love it if you would all make a small donation online, big or small, every little bit counts!

Bryson | Sudbury Photographer

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

Bryson is the reason I decided I wanted to pursue photography as a career. I just couldn’t put my camera down, because he always had a silly face, or a sweet little grin. He is the biggest character, and I just can’t get enough of him. He will be 3 at the end of this month, so I decided to get the camera out and take some pictures. I was thinking this was going to be an easy task, because after all, he’s 3, and should be able to follow some sort of direction….right…??? Wrong! But, nothing shows their personalities better than the outtakes! Here are a few I’d like to share!

Started off well – had to show off his Curious George long johns that he wore when we went sliding today!

Park Brown

I wanted to share a link with everyone, and would love it if you all would take a look! A friend of ours is the brains behind these webisodes, which will hopefully turn into something bigger! I think they’re really funny, and they’re actually based on real events. It’s got sort of a Corner Gas humour to it, which I love because it’s so Canadian. Anyways, take a look, and send your friends!

Spiderman! | Sudbury Photographer

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

Is anyone else super excited for Halloween? I’ll admit I never used to be a big Halloween person, although the candy was nice, but since having kids, getting to see them in those cute little costumes is better than any amount of candy! This year Bryson said he either wanted to be a pumpkin, or Spiderman. So, Spiderman it is! Isn’t he cute!? There is a mask to go with it, but he felt it was better suited for Emma! Ha! So I got this link from another photographer and had to share it on here. It’s completely unrelated to photography, but I had to share.

NILMDTS

I am proud to say that I have been accepted as a photographer for a wonderful foundation called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. I had been thinking about becoming involved for a long time, and finally decided I was ready. The foundation provides professional photography services to families whose babies pass away. At the family’s request,  a photographer will go to either the hospital or location of choice to provide a private portrait session. For more information about this amazing foundation, or to make a donation, please visit their website: https://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/

Meet Riley | Sudbury Photographer

Sunday, February 8th, 2009

He chews. He barks.  He sheds. He plays outside until he’s soaked and then stinks up the house. But, we can’t help but love him! I can’t believe he’s already almost a year old!
